Yoga for Adults

I aim to provide a welcoming and positive atmosphere for you to begin or continue your yoga journey. The classes I enjoy most are those that are light hearted and supportive, where each practitioner is encouraged to develop individually. I try to provide this in my classes. I like to encourage students to find and take their next steps, whether it’s challenging themselves with a new pose or taking time to be still.

I always adapt my classes to fit my students and therefore encourage you to let me know anything you would like to develop further or anything new would like to work on.

Kids and Family Yoga

Kids yoga classes provide a positive space where children can have fun while developing and challenging their bodies and minds in a safe, non-competitive environment.

Yoga builds strength, flexibility and self-awareness. Kids classes are a fun way to develop physical skills such as balance and coordination, and social skills including respect, awareness and thoughtfulness.

Co-creation of classes is encouraged in order to empower children and support their natural creativity and imaginations.

Family yoga is a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to step out of their regular roles and have the opportunity to play and learn together. This can have many benefits for family relationships including reinforced connections and relieved tensions.

The main aim of my kids and family classes is to have fun in a safe, non-judgemental and encouraging environment where children can explore the potential of their bodies and develop connections with themselves, others and the world around them.

Meditation and Mindfulness

Incorporating meditation and mindfulness into your life can begin with very small, simple techniques to bring calm and stability to your mind and body. I offer two 15 minute meditation sessions each week, on a Monday morning and Friday evening, to help begin and end your week with balance and positivity. I often include a short meditation at the end of my yoga classes as well.

Meditation and mindfulness for children can be presented in many different forms and adapted to each child’s dominant learning style. These may be creative visualizations, concentrative exercises, relaxation exercises, and many others. I always include some of these in the ‘quiet time’ at the end of kids yoga classes to help ground them after the fun of the class.

  • I also offer private classes for individuals or small groups. If you have a small group of friends who would like to practice together, we can arrange a private group class. A park or private garden would be an ideal location.

  • I also offer private family classes. These could be outdoors, in a park or in your own garden. A private family class is a great way to have fun and relax with your family while doing something a little different that gets you out of your normal routine.

My name is Lucy Corner. I have been practising yoga for over 15 years.

My aim is to help people develop a healthy relationship with their bodies and minds as well as providing them with a safe space where they can forget their daily pressures.
